Senior Concept Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Senior Concept Engineer to join our Concepts & Advisory team at Kongsberg Maritime. In this role, you will develop vessel concepts with documented feasibility and client benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Prioritise and guide vessel concept opportunities leveraging your domain expertise to enhance operations through KM solutions.
  • Dive into the technical foundations of novel solutions, verifying their feasibility and documenting their benefits.
  • Define necessary innovations, develop business cases, and strategies in collaboration with our product divisions to drive advancements.
  • Develop methodologies and tools for Concepts & Advisory studies and simulations.
  • Support sales in projects by assessing the feasibility, having a holistic approach, providing crucial insights and inputs for benchmark studies.

Qualifications and experience

  • Degree in Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Cybernetics, Electrical Engineering, Automation, Industrial Design or related field.
  • Strong understanding of ships and vessel systems and their operation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Innovative mindset with ability to challenge the status quo.

Preferably Lysaker, Hjørungavåg, Ålesund or Kongsberg, other KM locations may be considered.
