Senior Sales Manager - Ferries

We are currently seeking an individual with a strong network within the passenger ferry market in North America and technical understanding of electrical systems in the maritime industry. This individual will have the motivation and capability to influence stakeholders about the optimal path forward in marine operations.

Key accountabilities

  • Lead the effort to strengthen KM position in the passenger ferry market across North America
  • Develop and implement sales strategies and plans for specific customers.
  • Establish and maintain customer relationships.
  • Prepare, present, and promote tailored solutions to shipowners, yards & designers.
  • Manage the technical scope, and preparation of quotations where needed.
  • Lead contract negotiations.
  • Coordinate activities with KONGSBERG’s sales resources to align customer interactions.
  • Provide technical and strategic support to rest of the region on electrical projects in other vessel segments.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences and exhibitions.

Qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical systems, electrical engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Knowledge of electrical and energy solutions in the maritime industry and able to discuss other maritime systems such as propulsion.
  • Previous sales experience in the maritime industry or with related products and solutions is required.
  • Having experience with system delivery, commissioning and start-up at shipyards is beneficial but not required.
  • Previous experience in technical sales is desired.
  • Previous knowledge of passenger vessel funding and grant framework and key industry trends is preferred.
