Specialist Engineer - Simulations

We are seeking a skilled Specialist Engineer to join our Simulation & Data Analytics team. You will be responsible for utilizing your expertise in simulation software to contribute to engineering projects within our organization. Your role will involve creating and validating dynamic system models, performing simulations, and analyzing results to support concept development and advisory services.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain dynamic system models using Simcenter Amesim.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate simulation models.
  • Conduct simulations to analyze system behavior, performance, and efficiency.
  • Interpret simulation results and provide insights to inform design decisions.
  • Support in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to system dynamics.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in simulation methodologies and tools.

 

Qualifications and experience

  • Experience with other simulation tools such as ANSYS, STAR-CCM+, COMSOL Multiphysics, Modelica or others.
  • Familiarity with control system design and analysis.
  • Knowledge of marine and mechatronics systems.

Preferably Lysaker, Hjørungavåg, Ålesund or Kongsberg, other KM locations may be considered.
