Supply Chain Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen as Supply Chain Manager Kongsberg Discovery (KD) Spain, reporting administratively to Country Manager KD Spain and functional to EVP Supply Chain KD located in Norway. In this role, you will be heading the Supply Chain Team in Spain delivering reliable, flexible, and responsible Supply Chain to our internal and external customers. You will be responsible for Manufacturing, Logistics (including warehouses, transportation and forwarding), Purchasing, Planning, Quality, and Manufacturing Technology the Spanish operations working in a matrix organization and in alignment with the Supply Chain organization in Norway.

In this role, you will be shaping, implementing and improving the process and solutions in Supply Chain. The role will work on a strategic, tactical and operational level. This role is part of the Management Team in Kongsberg Discovery Spain and report to EVP Supply Chain Management located in Norway.

Responsibilities

  • Heading the Supply Chain in Kongsberg Discovery Spain
  • Responsible for the factory and Manufacturing processes as well as logistics (warehouses, forwarding functions), Purchasing, Planning, Quality and Safety in the Supply chain organization.
  • To develop an aligned strategy for Supply chain in Spain
  • To specifying and take part in development of investments, systems, solutions, and procedures within Supply Chain
  • Enable a Lean and efficient operation in supply chain, with good service, at right cost level and net working capital with constant focus on improvement.
  • Increase cooperation with internal and external customers, establishing procedures and routines for good cooperation.

 

Qualifications and experience

  • We are looking for a person with Bachelor's or Master's Degree in logistics, business engineering or IT, or equivalent experience
  • Experience and understanding from Supply Chain with Manufacturing
  • You need to be comfortable working collaboratively to solve problems
  • Leadership experience
  • 5-10 years' experience working in Supply Chain
  • Have to be able to obtain relevant security clearance
